PASSPORTS            ..............................                                                                      Blue handwritten Ethiopian Passports may no longer be renewed at the Consulate-General in Melbourne for a further period of five years by simply stamping a renewal  They must be replaced by the new red electronic passports from Addis Ababa through our Ethiopian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. Application for these replacement passports must be made through the Consulate in Melbourne.                                         Passports cannot be renewed if another Citizenship (eg Australian or New Zealand citizenship) has been taken. Applicants may be required to establish that they have not taken another Citizenship.
